We are a national organization of professional engineers that serve as role models and leaders in the Hispanic community. Founded in 1974, SHPE (pronounced "ship") has developed into a prominent and significant presence in the professional world. Today, SHPE maintains a strong but independent network of professional and students chapters throughout the nation. Come get involved in this ever-growing movement!

SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development.


SHPE is the leading social-technical organization whose primary function is to enhance and achieve the potential of Hispanics in engineering, math and science.
